We’re looking for a leader who can bring both technical accounting expertise and people-first energy to a critical finance function.
If you’re a CPA with a Big 4 or large national firm background, and you’ve since stepped into a private company managerial role, this could be your next major leap.

• Lead technical accounting initiatives including purchase accounting, consolidations, and GAAP compliance
• Manage monthly close processes across domestic and international entities
• Own the coordination and preparation of audited financial statements
• Partner with external advisors on audit deliverables and memos
• Oversee stock compensation accounting (ASC 718) and lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Lead the accounting for acquisitions (ASC 805), including opening balance reviews and integration
• Supervise intercompany financing reconciliations and deferred tax postings
• Develop internal financial reporting packages for executive and private equity stakeholders
• Mentor and lead a high-performing team of three accounting professionals
• Play a hands-on role in ERP implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
What Makes This Role Exciting
• High visibility — reports directly to the VP, Corporate Controller
• Be a key part of the company’s next growth chapter, including M&A integration
• Clear path to advancement — this team promotes from within and invests in talent
• Work/life flexibility — results matter more than rigid hours
• Friendly, approachable leadership team that values who you are, not just what you do
• Sustainability-focused organization making real impact in recyclable product development
• Ranked among the top 10 suppliers in its industry, with a clear strategy to lead the pack
About You
• CPA required — with strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting policies
• 5–7 years of public accounting experience at a Big 4 or large national firm
• Ideally has transitioned into a private company leadership role post-public accounting
• Strong background in financial reporting, audit coordination, and technical memos
• Experience with ASC 805, 606, 718, and 842 highly preferred
• Hands-on, low-ego leadership style with a passion for mentoring and process improvement
• Ability to work effectively across departments and levels of the organization
• Detail-oriented, action-driven, and thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment
Why Join Us
• Shape the next chapter of a company set to double in size
• Join a close-knit, respectful culture that knows your name — not your badge number
• Hybrid flexibility and understanding leadership that values life outside of work
• Direct exposure to executive leadership and private equity partners
• Be part of a business making real moves toward sustainability and innovation
