Senior Technical Accounting Analyst

Northwest burbs | Hybrid – 3 days in-office | $120K base + 10% bonus target

Are you a CPA with a strong public accounting foundation ready to step into a role with impact, visibility, and long-term growth? A private equity-backed manufacturing company with a track record of expansion is hiring a Senior Technical Accounting Analyst to support critical audit, M&A, and corporate accounting initiatives. This newly created position plays a central role in a collaborative finance organization that values development, flexibility, and culture.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Newly created position with high visibility across leadership and ownership

  • Support an organization actively growing through acquisition with a clear path to double in revenues the next 5 years

  • Opportunity to build process, influence controls, and support enterprise-wide systems projects

  • Collaborative, flexible culture focused on retaining great people and promoting from within

  • Mid-sized company environment—big enough to offer advancement, small enough to know your name

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review audited financial statements and supporting documentation

  • Act as a key point of contact during external audits; draft memos and respond to technical questions

  • Manage stock compensation accounting and ensure compliance with GAAP

  • Support purchase accounting activities during M&A transactions, including consolidation and working capital adjustments

  • Reconcile and process intercompany financing transactions, including loans and deferred taxes

  • Assist in month-end close procedures with focus on ASC 606 (Revenue) and ASC 842 (Leases)

  • Participate in ERP system configuration and data migration to ensure accounting accuracy

  • Interpret and implement new accounting standards and internal policies

Ideal Profile

  • CPA required

  • 3+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong technical accounting and audit background

  • Comfortable managing competing priorities in a high-growth, PE-backed company

  • Experience with purchase accounting or M&A is preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

This is a high-impact role for a technically strong accountant who’s ready to grow with a business committed to operational excellence and employee development. Candidates with a CPA and 3+ years of public accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
