Compensation: $120K–$150K+ base (depending on experience) + 10% Target Bonus
Work Arrangement: Remote (Central or Mountain Time Zones preferred)

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, acquisition-driven services platform is seeking a versatile and strategic Assistant Controller to support corporate-level operations across a diverse and expanding portfolio. This is a fully remote opportunity to work cross-functionally with finance and operational leaders across 30+ entities. The role blends hands-on accounting execution with strategic finance initiatives and provides the chance to influence process, reporting, and decision-making at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage elements of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and accrual processes
• Collaborate with decentralized accounting leads to standardize financial reporting
• Partner with finance team on variance analyses, reporting packages, and actionable insights
• Drive process improvement and change management projects to support scalable growth
• Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and working capital initiatives (DPO, DSO, DIO)
• Manage and synthesize ERP data into Excel for consolidated reporting
• Support integration efforts for new acquisitions and contribute to cross-functional ad hoc analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

About You

• 4+ years in accounting, finance, or related roles
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Experience with month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with large data sets from ERP systems
• Analytical and solution-oriented—able to turn data into insight and action
• Effective communicator across functions and levels; experience working with remote teams a plus
• Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Public accounting background welcome, but private industry experience strongly preferred
